Chapter President
Welcome to the official site of the Spartanburg Alumnae Chapter (SAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated website. SAC is very proud to serve Cherokee, Spartanburg and Union Counties. As Delta Women who are called to serve, the Spartanburg Alumnae Chapter has been a staple in the Upstate community since 1961.
The Spartanburg Alumnae Chapter is home to over 110 college educated women dedicated to Sisterhood, Scholarship and Service. Our chapter provides a variety of public service initiatives through our national Five Point Programmatic Thrust:
- Economic Development
- Educational Development
- International Awareness and Involvement
- Physical and Mental Health
- Political Awareness and Involvement
Collectively, we work together and with community partners to develop and implement programs that benefit our communities. Some of our SAC signature programs include Delta Academy, Delta GEMS and EMBODI youth initiatives, Physical and Mental Health workshops, voter registration drives and Delta Days at the city and county council. Additionally, we provide cultural enrichment opportunities through our Young Artist Renaissance Program.
